METAL TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS USED IN £43m ‘AXIUM’ RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN BIRMINGHAM

Galliford Try has built the £43m ‘Axium’ residential development at Windmill Hill in the city, in partnership with developer Court Collaboration and Top Capital Group.

The scheme has transformed a derelict, brownfield site to the rear of the O2 Academy, close to Birmingham city centre, with the creation of 304 new luxury 1 and 2 bedroom apartments across three blocks, with associated car parking and landscaping. Within the £2.3m installed glazing aspect of the buildings, fabricators APiC UK Limited used Metal Technology Ltd’s French casement windows and curtain walling to realise the design by architects Glancy Nicholls.

Metal Technology’s systems used in the scheme were System 17 Curtain Walling with feature caps and from our THERMAL ranges, System 4-35 casement windows and System 5-35 French casement windows.
